Three ways: add them one at a time, import a donor CSV (we auto-detect columns from most exports), or import your giving history too — Donor Send matches gifts to donors by email, phone, or name and can create missing donors as it goes. Most teams are fully migrated in an afternoon.

When you tap Send, Donor Send logs the message and opens your phone's own Messages app with the text (and video link) pre-filled — you hit send from your real number. Replies come back as normal texts. On a Mac, the message is copied so you can paste it into Messages with ⌘V.

Videos upload to secure storage and the link is included in your text. They're kept for your organization's retention window (40 days by default) and then deleted automatically — long enough for the moment, short enough for privacy.

Every donor has a consent status, and every change is written to a tamper-proof audit log. Donors marked opted-out can't be texted from anywhere in the app — the button simply disappears.

Each organization's data is isolated at the database layer with row-level security and encrypted in transit and at rest. And it's yours: export all donors as CSV anytime, and deleting your account deletes your data.
